PRE-14 Kit Install Help - Anytime Backup Camera and Front Camera

Below are instructions on how to install the Pre-14 Kits.  More model support is coming.

 

2010-2012 4Runner JBL

2012 Sequoia

 

  1. Remove factory harness from plug G18.
  2. Plug 5-Pin camera override harness from Anytime Backup Camera into plug G18.
  3. Plug factory G18 harness into the Anytime Backup Camera harness.
  4. Remove factory harness from plug G20.
    1. Find wires 21 & 22 in the harness and cut them. Leave a few inches on the connector side to work with.
  5. Locate the Switching Relay supplied with your kit from Anytime Backup Camera and then with the RCA pigtails connected to the wire labeled ‘REAR CAM’ connect the WHITE wire form the pigtail to wire 22 and the BLACK wire from the pigtail to wire 21 on the VEHICLE SIDE of the G20 harness.
  6. Next repeat the steps above but with the other set of pigtails from the relay which are connected to the unlabeled wire coming off the relay. Connect the WHITE wire to wire 22 and the BLACK wire to wire 21 on the CONNECTOR SIDE of the G20 harness.
  7. Once you have connected the wires to the G20 harness you can now start connecting the other wires to the switch.
    1. From the 5-pin harness connected to G18, connect the RED wire to RED on the switch, ORANGE wire to ORANGE on the switch.
    2. GREEN wire from the Switching Relay to the GREEN wire on the switch.
    3. Ground the black wire from the switch and the relay to a known good chassis ground. The relay will not function without a proper ground.

 

2012-2013 4Runner NON-JBL; 

2012 Tacoma JBL

  1. Remove factory harness from plug G31.
  2. Plug 28-Pin camera override harness from Anytime Backup Camera into plug G31.
  3. Plug factory G31 harness into the Anytime Backup Camera harness.
  4. Remove factory harness from plug G30.
    1. Find wires 8 & 15 in the harness and cut them. Leave a few inches on the connector side to work with.
  5. Locate the Switching Relay supplied with your kit from Anytime Backup Camera and then with the RCA pigtails connected to the wire labeled ‘REAR CAM’ connect the WHITE wire form the pigtail to wire 8 and the BLACK wire from the pigtail to wire 15 on the VEHICLE SIDE of the G30 harness.
  6. Next repeat the steps above but with the other set of pigtails from the relay which are connected to the unlabeled wire coming off the relay. Connect the WHITE wire to wire 8 and the BLACK wire to wire 15 on the CONNECTOR SIDE of the G30 harness.
  7. Once you have connected the wires to the G20 harness you can now start connecting the other wires to the switch.
    1. From the 28-pin harness connected to G31, connect the RED wire to RED on the switch, ORANGE wire to ORANGE on the switch.
    2. GREEN wire from the Switching Relay to the GREEN wire on the switch.
    3. Ground the black wire from the switch and the relay to a known good chassis ground. The relay will not function without a proper ground.
